Who We Are
Researchers at the Graduate School of Medicine, The University of Tokyo, have developed new technologies to measure GPCR activities with extraordinary sensitivity and specificity. They co-founded Tanso Biosciences in to apply their innovation and revolutionize GPCR drug discovery.
With its assay platform, Tanso Biosciences promotes human health by expanding frontiers, accelerating research, and reducing drug development risks. Tanso Biosciences is an academic spin-off and occupies university incubator spaces at the main campus in the central district of Tokyo.
The Name
We coined the name Tanso by combining the kanji characters 探 (tan, exploration) and 創 (soh, creation) to indicate our aspirations of innovating a drug discovery platform and developing new drugs on it.
