We are excited to announce that researchers at the Institute for Molecular and Cellular Regulation of Gunma University, in collaboration with Tanso Biosciences, have discovered that metformin, a medication used to treat type 2 diabetes, may suppress tumors by inhibiting lysophosphatidic acid receptors. This study utilized Tanso Biosciences' GPCR functional assay platform to thoroughly assess metformin's agonistic and antagonistic potency against 200 non-orphan GPCRs. The findings were published in the journal Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice. More details can be found here.
